Chef/Cook Patronage
Focus on Foods teaching and training workshops are highly regarded by the UK’s chefs and cooks and a large number of them make time to work with the Campaign’s teachers on the Cooking Buses at schools and food-orientated events such as the BBC Good Food Show. Many ‘famous friends’, including Gary Rhodes, Marguerite Patten, Nigella Lawson, Loyd Grossman, Prue Leith , Brian Turner and Ross Burden, have delivered Focus on Food lectures. Others, notably Jamie Oliver, have made a point of endorsing Focus on Food during their own media campaigns to promote healthy eating. The Chefs’ and Cooks’ support is invaluable and the Campaign is extremely grateful that so many of the country’s leading culinary lights are prepared to give so much, in terms of time and advice, when it comes to helping Focus on Food to help others. It hardly needs saying that the hands-on support of celebrity role models is hugely motivational, inspiring young people to cook and to keep cooking. It also encourages a large number of individuals to consider careers in the food industry.

Our thanks to all our ‘famous friends’
