Food Standards Agency (England)
The Food Standards Agency is an independent Government department set up by an Act of Parliament in 2000 to protect the public’s health and consumer interests in relation to food. Everything it does reflects its vision of safe food and healthy eating for all.
FSA (England) has supported the Focus on Food Campaign since 2003 when it launched the FSA Cooking Bus. The Agency’s Bus gives priority to schools in low income areas, reflecting its commitment to ensure the FSA’s policies take into account the needs and views of disadvantaged groups and its aim of reducing inequalities by enabling and encouraging disadvantaged and vulnerable people to improve their diets.
All Focus on Food’s workshops reflect the FSA’s work to improve the national diet and promote the Agency’s various public health campaigns.
